Toyota's "i-Unit", a form of "personal mobility"

i-UnitThe “i-unit” is a form of “personal mobility” that seeks to attain a greater balance of meeting individuals’ wishes to enjoy freedom of movement, harmony with society, and harmony with the Earth’s natural environment.

Science Museum staff member Georgina Wright sits in the Toyota I-unit, an electric car built almost entirely of material derived from corn, sugar cane and the African kenaf plant. The i-Unit is part of a London Science Museum exhibit celebrating the 100th birthday of plastic.
