Dell recalls 4.1 million batteries

After several instances of laptops bursting into flames and damaging other properties, Dell has identified exactly which laptop batteries are at risk. However, these affected batteries were used in laptops produced since 2004 and there are now a total of 4.1 million affected consumers.

With the problem identified, Dell has announced a recall of all affected batteries. This marks one of the biggest safety recalls in the history of consumer electronics. If your Dell laptop is bought between April 2004 and July 2006, do check out the following website to determine if you are in need of a battery replacement.
